Research interests
My research interests concern the development of theoretical and practical methods for investigating substructures (patterns) in structured data (sequences, trees, graphs) of predominantly biological origin. In particular, I am interested in the following topics:
- data structures and algorithms
- enumeration (both in terms of listing and counting)
- lossless compression
- machine learning (mainly frequent pattern mining and kernel methods)
More generally, I have strong interests in graph theory, algorithms, combinatorics machine learning and optimization.
